After spending 10 years as a corporate executive chef for Marriot International I decided it was time for a change. I made a road trip to Tom Lee Park for the Memphis In May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest in 1996. During my time there surrounded by the best pitmasters the world had to offer, I decided it was time to create a team of my own. The Allegro Gourmet Cooking team was formed. For the next seven years, I perfected my craft BBQ and went on to win four state championships, and eleven grand championships!
For the past ten years I have been the pitmaster for the legendary landmark Pappy’s Smokehouse and Bogart’s Smokehouse in St. Louis, Missouri. Being a native Floridian, growing up in Sanford, I decided it was time to bring my craft BBQ back to the east coast of Florida. I am proud to present to you SUNDOWN SMOKEHOUSE!
Our menu is a short and simple list of my craft BBQ that includes the best of pork, beef, chicken, and ribs. Accompanied by my award winning tomato and mustard base competition sauces. Finish your meal with our soon to be world famous sweet bread orange muffins.
